Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Barcelona, Salvat is a leading pharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development, production, and commercialization of medicines and healthcare products. With over six decades of experience, Salvat has expanded internationally, exporting its products to over 70 countries. One of their latest innovations is UVESOL, a groundbreaking treatment for ocular inflammation that combines the anti-inflammatory properties of dexamethasone with nanoparticle delivery, providing an effective and safe solution for uveitis.


Pixel Medical Animation’s Solution

For the global launch of UVESOL at the CPHI 2023 international fair, Salvat faced a challenge: how to effectively communicate the mechanism of action (MOA) of this new drug to a specialized audience without access to a real clinical environment? The company needed a solution that not only captured attendees’ attention but also allowed them to understand in-depth how UVESOL works, an innovative technology in ophthalmology.

Salvat found the answer in Pixel Medical Animation. Our team developed an immersive representation of the UVESOL mechanism of action using virtual reality. This technology allowed attendees at the event to clearly and dynamically visualize how the drug works to reduce ocular inflammation through the release of dexamethasone nanoparticles. This experience allowed healthcare professionals to interact with the therapeutic process in a safe environment, improving their understanding and appreciation of the technology behind UVESOL.
