─── ABOUT THE SERVICE ────
3D MEDICAL ANIMATION IN TEXAS
We are a 3D medical animation studio specialising in surgical and procedural animation for Houston, the Texas Medical Center and hospitals across Texas.
Step by step visualisation of procedures, for surgeons, for training and for patients.
Houston holds the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world by concentration of institutions. What is produced there is procedure: surgery, intervention, clinical technique, taught and refined at scale.
Surgical animation is the part of this field with the least room for interpretation. The anatomy has to be correct, the sequence has to match how the procedure is actually performed, and any instrument shown has to behave the way it behaves in theatre.
We have built this kind of work with surgeons: the Inner Bra mastopexy technique with Dr Buccheri, and surgical visualisation for Clinica J. Mir, in both cases working from the surgeon’s own description of the steps.
The same asset usually serves twice, in a clinical version for colleagues and congresses and a calmer, bloodless version for patients deciding whether to go ahead.
3D Medical Animation for Texas & the Texas Medical Center
Texas is home to the Texas Medical Center in Houston — the largest medical complex in the world. It also hosts a fast-growing biotech and life sciences scene across Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
We support Texas healthcare, pharma, and medical device organizations with 3D medical animation. Our work explains procedures, devices, and drug mechanisms with scientific accuracy.
For research institutions, hospitals, and manufacturers presenting at congresses or training clinical teams, we create visuals that make complex science clear, memorable, and credible.
Alcon, a global ophthalmology leader with its U.S. headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, partnered with Pixel Medical Animation to create an immersive 3D virtual event for the launch of its PRECISION-1 contact lenses. The experience featured a virtual studio inspired by the interior of a contact lens. It combined 3D animation, holographic content, and real-time interaction to showcase the product’s Smart Surface technology. Designed as a next-generation digital event, the project transformed a traditional presentation into a high-impact, engaging experience.
3D MEDICAL ANIMATION SERVICES
Surgical and procedural animation
Every step in the order it is actually performed, with instruments that behave the way they behave in theatre. Built from the surgeon’s own description, not from a textbook diagram.
Anatomy and pathology visualisation
Accurate anatomy and the pathology behind the intervention, so the reason for the procedure is as clear as the procedure itself.
Patient facing procedure explainers
The same operation, calmer: no blood where it is not needed, plain language, and short enough to hold someone deciding whether to go ahead.
Surgical training content
Sequences for residents, courses and congresses, where repetition and precision matter more than production polish.
WHO NEEDS 3D MEDICAL ANIMATION?
Surgeons and surgical departments
To show a technique the way it is actually performed, for teaching, for congresses and for referring colleagues.
Hospital systems
To prepare patients for procedures and reduce the number of questions that arrive the week before surgery.
Device companies with surgical portfolios
To demonstrate an instrument or an implant inside the procedure, not isolated on a white background.
Medical schools and residency programmes
To build training material that shows the steps, the anatomy and the decision points in the right order.

BENEFITS OF 3D MEDICAL ANIMATION
The procedure in the order it happens
Steps, anatomy and decision points in the sequence a surgeon actually follows, not a tidied up version.
Fewer questions before surgery
A patient who has seen the procedure explained calmly arrives with fewer doubts and cancels less often.
Instruments shown in context
A device demonstrated inside the operation rather than isolated, which is how a surgeon evaluates it.
Teaching material for residents
Sequences that can be paused, repeated and returned to, which is what training actually requires.
Two versions from one production
A clinical cut for colleagues and congresses, and a calmer version for patients, built from the same scenes.
3D MEDICAL ANIMATION FOR CLINICAL SPECIALTIES
We create custom 3D medical animation projects adapted to specific medical disciplines, blending scientific accuracy, visual realism, and clear storytelling.
Each animation is crafted to communicate procedures, treatments, and mechanisms effectively across different specialties.
Anatomy
Surgical anatomy as the surgeon sees it: layers, planes and landmarks in the order they appear.
Cardiology
Cardiac and vascular procedures, including the intervention itself rather than only the condition.
Oncology
Resection, ablation and reconstruction shown step by step, with the pathology that justifies them.
Medical devices
Instruments and implants inside the operation, behaving the way they behave in theatre.
Neuroscience
Neurosurgical approaches and the structures that constrain them.
Immunology
Healing, rejection and inflammatory response after intervention.
Biotechnology
Grafts, biomaterials and regenerative techniques used in surgery.
Genetics
Molecular markers that guide surgical decisions and patient selection.

WORK PROCESS
1
Research and scripting
Each project starts with in-depth medical research and script development to ensure scientific accuracy and visual consistency throughout the animation.
2
3D modeling and animation
All medical, biological, and pharmaceutical components are modeled and animated in 3D with a strong emphasis on realism and educational clarity.
3
Rendering and post-production
Each animation is delivered in high resolution, integrating visual effects, labels, and graphic elements to ensure optimal performance across both digital and live platforms.
FACTORS THAT DETERMINE THE PRICE OF A 3D MEDICAL ANIMATION
Project complexity
Pricing is determined by the number of 3D assets involved, the duration of the animation, and the level of interactivity required.
Level of detail
Visualizing molecular or microscopic processes usually requires more development time and resources than animating external medical devices.
Delivery timeline
Production timelines are defined by the scope of the project. Highly complex medical animations require extended development periods to meet the highest quality standards.
FAQS
How much does a 3D medical animation cost?
It depends on duration, level of detail and resources required.
How long does production take?
Usually between 3 and 8 weeks, depending on complexity and final format.
What usage rights are granted?
Clients receive full ownership and usage rights for all final content.
What formats are delivered?
Full HD or 4K videos, optimized for web, congresses or medical e-learning platforms.
Can VR or AR be integrated?
Yes. We combine 3D medical animation with virtual and augmented reality to enhance immersion and learning.
How is scientific accuracy validated?
Each project is reviewed with clients and, when required, with external medical advisors to ensure scientific precision.
How do you work with surgeons in Texas from Europe?
Surgeons review early or late, rarely in the middle of the day. Texas is seven hours behind Barcelona, so an early morning in Houston is our afternoon, which is usually the easiest slot to find. Between calls we work from recorded descriptions of the technique and send versions for annotation.
